A neighbourhood café that roasts in small batches and bakes before sunrise. The brief was to feel warm without leaning on the usual rustic clichés — so the identity borrows from the glow of an oven at 6am: a soft ember orange, a hand-cut wordmark and packaging that's as nice to keep as it is to open.
Warm, not rustic
Most specialty cafés in the city wear the same kraft paper and stamped logos. Oat & Ember wanted to stand apart while still feeling handmade.
The wordmark was drawn with a flat brush and then tightened digitally, keeping the slight wobble of the hand in the ampersand.

The sleeve
Every cup gets a sleeve printed with a different line from the baker's notebook — small things to read while you wait.
